Nedum Onuoha is a professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake. He was born on November 12, 1986 in Warri, Nigeria but grew up in Manchester, England.
Onuoha began his youth career at Manchester City and made his professional debut for the club in 2004. He went on to make over 200 appearances for Manchester City before moving to Queens Park Rangers in 2012. He spent six seasons at QPR before joining Real Salt Lake in 2018.
Known for his physicality, aerial ability, and leadership qualities, Onuoha has been a consistent presence in the defense throughout his career. He has also represented the England national team at various youth levels.
Off the field, Onuoha is known for his philanthropic work, including his foundation which aims to provide opportunities for underprivileged youths in Manchester.
